Unifor Council 4000 Ratification Results: CN Agreements 5.4, CN Savage Alberta Railway and CN Transportation Ltd

We are pleased to announce the results of our ratification voting held across the country during the period March 5 to 12, 2015 on our newly negotiated Unifor National Council 4000 Collective Agreements 5.4, CN Savage Alberta Railway (CNSAR) and CN Transportation Ltd (CNTL).
Collective Agreement 5.4: Ratified by 100%
CN Savage Alberta Railway: Ratified by 100%
CN Transportation Ltd.: Ratified by 1%
CN Savage Alberta Railway: Ratified by 100%
CN Transportation Ltd.: Ratified by 1%
Agreement 5.4 governs Unifor Council 4000 members who are employed as excavator operators with CN and whom work all across Alberta and British Columbia.
The CNSAR Agreement covers our 68 members who are based in Grande Cache and Grande Prairie, Alberta who work as Locomotive Engineers, Conductors and Assistant Conductors on subdivision situated in Northwestern Alberta.
The CNTL Agreement covers our almost 900 members who are Owner Operator truck drivers with CNTL, a subsidiary of CN and one of Canada's largest full-load trucking companies.
We thank all of our members who turned up to vote and for their overwhelming support of their bargaining committees in ratifying the new agreements.
The results for Agreement 5.1 and the 5.1 Supplemental Agreement (CN Intermodal) ratification will be announced on Monday, March 16 in conjunction with Unifor Local 100’s results.
