December 1 is World AIDS Day
November 30, 2015
Every year on December 1st, people around the world come together to support the fight against HIV/AIDS, and to remember and honour those we lost to AIDS.
Globally there are an estimated 36.9 million people living with HIV since the end of 2014. Despite the virus only being identified in 1984, more than 39 million people have died of HIV or AIDS, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.
