Unifor reaches a new tentative agreement with Toronto Terminals Railway
July 8, 2016
Just shortly after noon eastern time today, Unifor National Council 4000 reached a new four-year tentative agreement for our Local 4003 membership at Toronto Terminals Railway (TTR). This agreement was reached on the last day of the conciliation process. We thank Federal Conciliator Buck Reed for his assistance in the bargaining process and working with the parties in reaching this tentative settlement.
Details of the tentative agreement will be forthcoming, and its acceptance will be determined by the TTR membership during a ratification meeting that will be held in Toronto next Thursday, July 14, 2016. Times and location for the meeting and vote will be released shortly.
The Unifor TTR membership provide track maintenance, flagging and signal services on the Union Station Rail Corridor (USRC) in Toronto. The USRC is used by VIA Rail, GO Transit and the new Union Pearson (UP) Express. TTR is a jointly owned subsidiary of both CN and CP Rail.
