STRIKE VOTE NOTICE
Unifor Council 4000 has been negotiating with VIA Rail since December 2021. Negotiations have been very slow and have come to an impasse.
In an effort to end the impasse and to demonstrate our members’ commitment to a fair contract, your bargaining committee will be conducting strike votes across the country in the coming weeks. Please watch in your workplaces for details on times and locations, or contact your Local Chairperson for further details.
A high turnout to these votes will prove to the employer that we are serious in our demands. Your attendance is required at this important meeting in order to give the bargaining committee a mandate to continue fighting on your behalf. Please arrange to attend and have your voice heard.
At the meeting, your representatives will provide you with further information regarding the issues at the bargaining table and what we are attempting to achieve in this contract.
