Results of the Unifor CNTL Bargaining Committee Elections

We are pleased to announce the results following the elections for bargaining committee members to serve Unifor CNTL members of Locals 4001 and 4002 during negotiations with CN and CNTL.
As announced on our Twitter feed, we saw a tremendous turn out to the voting locations in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Vancouver and Winnipeg, as well as participation via electronic proxy voting on our website for those members whom were out of town performing highway moves.
Brother Ricky Brar has been elected to represent the members of Local 4001, and Sister Pauline Fondeur for Local 4002.

From the 393 CNTL members of Local 4001 (Mountain Region), 320 members cast ballots. Of the 71 members of Local 4002 (Prairie Region), 50 members cast ballots.
In the Local 4001 election, 9 ballots were reported spoiled, while there were no spoiled ballots reported in the Local 4002 election.
We congratulate Brother Brar and Sister Fondeur on their victories and wish them success as members of the Unifor CNTL Bargaining Committee.
And special thanks to Brothers Baldev Sran, Sandeep Singh and Russ Carr for accepting nomination and participating in this process.
As the election process is completed, the Unifor CNTL Bargaining Committee will be as follows:
In the Local 4001 election, 9 ballots were reported spoiled, while there were no spoiled ballots reported in the Local 4002 election.
