Steven Harding now Interim President of Unifor National Council 4000

With the June 1, 2017 departure of Unifor National Council 4000 President Barry Kennedy to a position with the National Union, Council 4000 Vice President and Unifor Local 4005 President Steven Harding will serve as the interim President of Council 4000 until an election is completed.

Steve has served as the President of Local 4005 since September 4, 2015.  He has held the position of Local Chairperson for Local 4005’s CNTL membership in Moncton, New Brunswick as well as in recent years, CNTL members in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. He has also served on the Unifor CNTL Bargaining Committee for the last two rounds of negotiations with CN and CNTL in 2010/2011 and 2014/2015.
 
The Writ of Election and nominations for the position of Council 4000 President were posted on May 26, 2017 to the full Council 4000 membership on May 26, 2017, and an election will follow.
