Second Ballot Election for President of Unifor National Council 4000

The Unifor Council 4000 National Election Committee (NEC) has declared a runoff election for the President of Unifor National Council 4000. Voting will open by online ballot on Tuesday, October 17 and will close on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11:59 PM (Eastern).

As none of the candidates received the 50% plus one vote majority to win on the first ballot election, as required under the Unifor Council 4000 Bylaws, the second ballot runoff is necessary between the top two candidates - Mark Robinson and Dave Kissack:

The Unifor National Council 4000 Election Committee has commissioned Canadian firm Simply Voting Inc. to conduct the runoff election electronically. All members registered to vote for the President in the first election will be eligible to vote in the run-off election. For those members who did not submit their email address to Simply Voting when voting on the first ballot, they will receive a letter from Simply Voting with theri voting PIN & voting ID. The members who did submit their email address to Simply Voting will receive an email from Simply Voting in place of a letter. If you would like to vote in the run-off election and you did not vote in the initial election, please send your name, complete civic address, your bargaining unit and your email address to [email protected] and the Election Committee will contact you to ensure that you receive your voting credentials. Voting will open by online ballot on Tuesday October 17, 2017 and will close on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11:59 PM (Eastern). The National Election Committee would like to remind members that it is not the responsiblity of the NEC to ensure that your address is correct. The Election Committee receives the member lists directly from the employeres at a given point in time, which may not include up to date information.
