There are 7 positions of Regional Representatives across Canada that service the five Regional Local Unions that form Unifor Council 4000.

Jennifer Murray was re-elected by acclamation to her second full term since being appointed on an interim basis in February 2015.  Jennifer services the diverse membership of Unifor Local 4005 in Atlantic Canada (Bay Ferries, Cummins, CN, DHL, Loblaw Atlantic Wholesalers, Loomis, Nova Scotia Federation of Labour support staff, Ryder, Securitas, VIA Rail, Wajax, and the Halifax Convention Centre).  The newest group of members of Local 4005 are from the Discovery Centre Halifax, who Jennifer and the new bargaining committee are presently negotiating a first agreement.

Mario Laroche was also re-elected by acclamation to his second full term, and services Local 4004 members employed at CN and VIA Rail Agreement 1 members in the province of Quebec and the City of Ottawa.

Wesley Gajda was re-elected to his third term as the Regional Representative responsible for servicing the growing membership of owner-operator truck drivers contracted at CN Transportation Ltd. (CNTL) across Canada.  There are presently 990 CNTL members.

Ron Shore was re-elected to his third full term, but served a portion of a fourth term when he was first elected on January 18, 2009 (6+ months into a full term) to replace Barry Kennedy as the Regional Representative for the Mountain Region when Kennedy was elected Council President.  Ron services Local 4001 members employed at CN, CN Savage Alberta Railway, Rocky Mountain Catering Co. and VIA Rail members in Alberta, British Columbia and Western Saskatchewan.

Andrew Stephen was re-elected to his second full term as Regional Representative, servicing Local 4003 VIA Rail Agreement 1 (off-board) and Agreement 2 (on-board) members in the province of Ontario, and Local 4004 VIA Rail Agreement 2 members based in Quebec.  Andrew will continue to represent the interests of the Council's Regional Representatives as a member of the Council 4000 Executive Board.

Laura Hazlitt was elected to her first term as Regional Representative on December 21, 2017, when she was elected to replace Dave Kissack when he was elected Council 4000 President.  Laura will serve an extended term that will run to June 30, 2021 along with the terms of the other 6 Regional Representatives.  Laura services Local 4002 members employed at CN and VIA Rail Canada in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.

We welcome Kendall Montrose

Kendall Montrose was elected to his first term as the Regional Representative responsible for servicing the Local 4003 Ontario membership employed at CN, and members at Toronto Terminals Railway (TTR) based in Toronto.  Kendall comes out of CN where he worked at the Company's Brampton Intermodal Termodal (BIT), which is CN's largest Intermodal operations in Canada.  Kendall replaces Mark Robinson.

We wish all our Regional Representatives success in their new three year terms.
